The Yamaha 250cc two-stroke powered SY-250 Racing machine has been Scorpa's mainstay machine since its release in 2001. Very popular in Britain, France and Japan, it has a small but loyal following in the U.S. The motor is very torquey, and very smooth, most reminiscent of the trials motors of old. However, as time as gone on, Scorpa engineers have tuned it to be an effective trials motor for the larger obstacles in today's sections. Still, the motor provides exceptional traction in wet conditions.
Suspension is taken care of by the 40mm Marzocchi trials forks up front, and a linkageless Sachs shock in the rear. This provides a singular feel of any of the bikes available today, keeping the bike aimed straight over obstacles, very planted, very predictable.
Top-quality components grace the bike from front-to-back, including much CNC-machined billet aluminum, Morad rims, hydraulic components, switchable ignition, and tapered handlebars.
