Years in the making, Montesa's four-stroke entry is one of the most complete development effortsever undertaken in the history of trials. Under the careful eyes of top competitor and test rider Amos Bilbao, the Cota 4RT is the synthesis of Montesa's trials heritage and Honda's four-stroke engine technology. It 250cc four-stroke, single-overhead-cam motor was developed by Honda especially for trials, using the very successful CRF-250R motor as its basis. The 4RT is the first production off-road fuel-injected motorcycle ever offered and as a result gives trials riders an easy starting four-stroke motor with immediate and smooth throttle response.

The next evolution step in the Cota line, the 4RT features a frame over four pounds lighter than its predecessor, the two-stroke powered 315R. Updated Showa front forks and rear shock grace the 4RT, giving it super stability and predictable handling. The 4RT has demonstrated itself as very reliable, and an excellent choice for the rider looking for a trials bike as a exploration bike as well.
