Gas Gas began producing trials motorcycles in the early 1980s and ascended to the top ranks of the World Trials Championship with a host of young Spanish riders campaigning for them. With the release of the revolutionary "Pro" line in 2002, Adam Raga dominated the Indoor World Trials Championship, and followed up with Outdoor World Trials Championship titles as well. Each year, a special, limited production run motorcycle bears his moniker as well, and boasts the lightest weight of any production trials motorcycle in the world.
The Pro line is characterized by its amazingly agile chassis, liberal use of lightweight aluminum components, and a unique, ultra-thin engine that features a revolutionary clutch. Gas Gas is one of the front-runners in adopting advancements in trials technology, including a switchable ignition mapping, to adjust the power curve to either dry or wet riding conditions.
Gas Gas is preparing the next generation of its motorcycles for release in 2009, including a four-stroke model that maintains an ultra-low center-of-gravity.
